BOOKING, DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICIES
FOR INDIVIDUAL TRAVELERS

THIS POLICIES APPLIES FOR ALL SERVICES

For all individual passengers purchasing services through EcuadorToursOnline and the service providers, the following booking procedures will apply, group policies will apply for each specific group, this information will also be explained in the invoice.

• Galapagos: Prepay according to cruise company policies.
  Method: Wire Transfer / Check
• Jungle Lodges: Prepay according to Jungle Lodge company policies.
  Method: Wire Transfer / Check
• Hotels & Lodging: Most Prepay, others up-on arrival to Ecuador
  Method: Wire Transfer / Check / Cash up on arrival
• Land Tours / Adventure : Deposit required, balance up on arrival to Ecuador
  Method: Wire Transfer / Check / Cash up on arrival

1.-DEPOSITS

• Required when booking is made with more than 60 days prior to the date on which the tour is scheduled to begin.
• Deposits will be required from every passenger in order to protect the reservation. The deposit must be made no later than 10 days after you approve the invoice and shall be equivalent to 10% of all services reserved under the same booking. If the amount of all services contracted is less than a thousand dollars, a minimum deposit of US$100 (one hundred dollars) will be required. Failure to make this deposit will result in an automatic cancellation of all services and reservations, and the space will be released with no previous notice to the passenger.
• For services booked within 60 days prior to travel, full payments is due five days after you approve the invoice.
• Whenever services are added to the original booking, the Service Provider and EcuadorToursOnline,  will determine if an additional deposit is required. If services are removed from the original booking, the Service Provider and EcuadorToursOnline, will not make partial reimbursements of the deposit for the services removed.

2.- CANCELLATION CHARGES:

Whenever a passenger cancels reservations made under a given booking , the following rules shall apply :

• No cancellation fees will be applied if services are canceled at least 60 days before the date on which the tour is scheduled to begin, except for Hotels.

• If cancellation during the 29 - 0 period is due to illness, only 50% cancellation will be charged upon acknowledge receipt of medical documentation.

• Trip insurance is highly recommended.

RESPONSIBILITY:

EcuadorToursOnline, acts only as agent for passengers in all matters pertaining to transportation, accommodations or any other services. As agents, all tickets, exchange orders or vouchers are issued by the service provider directly to the passenger, and subject to any and all terms and conditions under which such means of transportation, accommodations or other services are offered or provided. The bookings agent, airlines involved and general agent will not be liable for any vehicle furnished any such other party, firm or corporation in carrying out or failing to carry out arrangements previously agreed upon, not for the negligent misconduct of any such other party, firm or corporation in providing or failing to provide are not be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their conveyance. The passenger contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between booking agent, airline general agent and the purchaser of these and/or passengers.
