| Our lodges offer you
the unique opportunity to visit the most remote area of Amazon wilderness. Each lodge is
located in a different ecosystem, within the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. We have designed
itineraries that will show you as much of the rainforest's biodiversity as can be
comfortably fitted into five or six days. You will travel by motorized canoe, by dugout
paddle-canoe and on foot, along blackwater rivers, whitewater rivers and vast lakes and
explore parts of the Amazon headwaters where human presence is virtually unknown.
This
expedition caters to a wide variety of guests - from jungle noephytes to experts and
persons with special interests. Activities are very flexible and adapt to our client's
needs. Small groups accompanied by a naturalist guide will explore lakes and streams,
terra firme forest and flooded areas, take short walks and longer hikes both during the
day and at night as well.
Every
evening, after dinner, one of the naturalist guides will give a presentation to sum up the
day's events, inform about the following day's program and lead a discussion on any topics
that might arise.
The lodges are built in the tradition with local materials, palm thatch, bamboo, vines and
wood, in keeping with local designs that blend with the surrounding jungle. Although
rustic, the facilities at each lodge are comfortable and clean, with double rooms, shared
toilet and shower facilities. There is a lounge area and dining room - all meals are
included. To ensure that our operation is runned on a sustainable basis, electricity is
generated by solar energy and waste is treated using biodigestors.
Iripari
Lodge, is located beside Zancudo Lake, in virgin terra firme rainforest,
surrounded by giant Amazon trees. This is one of the most beautiful and remote spots in
the Amazon basin. Iripari Lodge, which accommodates 20 guests in 10 double rooms, is

Behind the lodge, an extensive network of trails of various lengths allow
you to explore the vicinity; you can choose to go on your own or with your naturalist
guide. You can relax in the comfort of a hammock on the deck overlooking the lake or
paddle in it observing the flora and fauna and try your luck at eco-fishing (catch and
release) for piranhas.

center". This is also a research station, where scientists and students doing field
studies related to the Amazon rainforest are our permanent guests. We also have here a
medical assistance program, which works with the neighboring communities. Aguarico Lodge
